Iran Announces Full Reopening of Strait of Hormuz

Iran has just announced the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz on Friday evening in line with the ceasefire in Lebanon.


Taking to X, previously called Twitter, Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi said, “In line with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage for all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared completely open for the remaining period of the ceasefire.”

Further, the foreign minister noted that it was on the coordinated route as already announced by the Ports and Maritime Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
